About Friends of the Chesapeake

Friends of the Chesapeake was designed to offer the support and tools to the citizens of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Region to secure economic prosperity, live in communities where the quality of life is high, and ensure an environment that is clean and available for their enjoyment. FOTC's idea is to excel as a dynamic presence in every community by increasing engagement and participation in grassroots environmental initiatives to build and connect healthy communities in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Regardless of where our supporters are in the watershed, they'll find in FOTC the resources and strength to help them make their own choices, reach their local goals and dreams, and make the most of their lives in their communities.

FOTC's goal is to engage neighborhoods, private individuals and groups; businesses; non-profits; schools; churches; and local, state and federal governments to participate in restoration activities that protect the heritage and quality of life built upon a healthy Bay system.
