Friends of the Chesapeake (FOTC), is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization that supports grass roots projects that promote healthier communities in the Chesapeake Bay region.
We believe that for all of us to get the maximum benefit from our natural resources, we must make preservation part of their everyday living and business activities.
FOTC has developed an incentive-based approach to environmental restoration and management, by creating a link that benefits environment, health and economy. This
innovative format is designed to increase citizen participation in a way that is beneficial to the health and prosperity of every one.
We also believe that a non-profit, that promotes a broadly acceptable cause based on state-of-the-art business, is a model of success. We provide a way for every
one in the region, to participate in environmental funding and management, and at the same time, receive immediate financial rewards. It is this unique combination
of business practices and public participation that will help FOTC achieve its goals of environmental, public and economic well-being.
What is the connection among the environment, health, and the economy?
